These are unprecedented times in the hospitality industry (hotel, retail, and restaurant sector) as businesses across America and the world reel from recent events and the impact of Covid19.

In response, on March 23, 2021, The Office of The President, Village Box Café, LLC, issued a Presidential Policy Directive highlighting treatment based on "racial and religious perceptions and/or endorsements."

Hospitality is defined as "the friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers” and the Mission Statement of Village Box Café, LLC “is to provide the ultimate dining experience.” Through our Mission Statement, Village Box Café, LLC, has carefully curated an environment that is stylish, upbeat, and modern as we strive to provide an environment free of fear and oppression.

On June 10, 2021, the Founder and CEO, of Village Box Café, LLC, were the subject of a "blackmail and extortion" campaign aimed at Mr. Mitchell by others who we believe display "racial and religious perceptions." While, Village Box Café, LLC, disavows such religious and racial endorsements, Village Box Café, LLC, to include its agents, officers, employees, owners, and operators "reserve the right to refuse service" to any individual, group, insider, or outsider that engages in "racial, religious, or sexual orientation" discrimination against the Founder and CEO of Village Box Café Bar & Grill, Mr. Oliver B. Mitchell III, or who's behavior disrupts the environment preventing Our guests from enjoying an environment that is free from fear and oppression.

The Founder and CEO of Village Box Café Bar & Grill has contributed significantly into curating an environment that is stylish, upbeat, and modern and Village Box Café, LLC, disavows any perceived discrimination, reprisal, and retaliation against Mr. Mitchell for being African American to include his sexual orientation and perceived positions regarding the operations of Village Box Café Bar & Grill.
